Dr. Maida Finch is an associate professor in the Department of Literacy Studies at 富二代视频app University. Her scholarly interests include practitioner research in literacy contexts, graduate education teaching and learning, school and community libraries. She teaches classes in research design and methods, scholarly writing, literacy policy, and research seminar. She has served as the co-chair for the Dissertation in Practice Award Committee of the Carnegie Project for the Education Doctorate and on the Graduate Council at 富二代视频app University; she also reviews manuscripts for several peer-reviewed journals. A former middle school teacher and literacy coach, Maida loves teaching and helping educators think about how to use research and theory to improve their practice.

Dr. Koomi Kim is a professor in the Department of Literacy Studies at 富二代视频app University. Her areas of expertise include literacy and bi/multiliteracy development, socio-culturally and linguistically responsive literacy pedagogy, Miscue Analysis, Eye Movement Miscue Analysis, and Critical Literacies. Dr. Kim directs the EMMA (Eye Movement Miscue Analysis) Lab at 富二代视频app University. The EMMA lab fosters understanding to explore and gain insights into diverse emergent through adult readers’ meaning making processes. Along with Dr. Franzak (Senior-Editor) and Dr. Porter (Co-Editor), Dr. Kim serves as a Co-Editor for the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy. She has taught a variety of literacy courses to both undergraduate and graduate students. She has worked with socio-culturally and linguistically diverse students (Pre K through university) in the United States, Korea and Japan.

Heather Porter is an assistant professor in the Department of Literacy Studies at 富二代视频app University. Her scholarship interests are centered in sociocultural perspectives with emphases on postsecondary and adult literacy practices and disciplinary literacies. She also serves as a co-editor for the Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy and partners with community-based adult literacy programs and college transition initiatives. Dr. Porter primarily teaches courses on literacy theory, qualitative methods, scholarly writing, and research seminar. She is a former higher education professional with expertise in academic support and student success initiatives.
